JKA Budo Karate Seminar (Los Angeles, USA)

March 1st to 5th, 2023, JKA Los Angeles hosted a Budo Karate Seminar in Los Angeles, California under the instruction of Tatsuya Naka Shihan.
This seminar was held as an event to commemorate the 5^th anniversary of the opening of JKA Los Angeles.
More than 250 people from different dojo in the United States participated in a total of 4 days, and we were able to receive various instruction on each schedule.

On the first day, JKA Los Angeles students, especially elementary to high school school students, were taught the basics, including the Heian katas, and it was a very enjoyable instruction with a smile from beginning to end.
In addition, a judge clinic was held on the same day with a practice match, and we received instructions; such as, detailed points to be aware of in judging.

On the 2^nd day (as 1^st day of the general seminar), we were tough how to use the body, especially moving the center of gravity, breathing, shifting the two plates without turning the body, etc. Also, we learned Heian Kata’s detail movements as well.

On the second day of the general seminar was held at BudoKan in Down town LA, we received guidance on Katas. For the kata, we learned the detail of Jion movements first, and after that, we spent a lot of time and carefully instructed by Naka Shihan on the kata of Meikyo and Chinte.

On the 3rd day of the general seminar, we received guidance on how to practice, focusing on kumite, based on the basic movement of the center of gravity and breathing techniques, and how to speed up the movement of the kumite. We practiced a lot in groups of 4 people. Also, at the end, we had a practice match, and we had a qualification exam as well.

At this JKA Budo Karate Seminar, we were able to receive various guidance from Naka Shihan, and the seminar was held from beginning to end in a very friendly and homely atmosphere with constant smiles and laughter.
This seminar was attended by various JKA instructors and students from all over the United States, as well as students and instructors from new dojos who joined JKA recently in this year, and the seminar was a great success.
I believe that many of the participants in this seminar realized that JKA karate is wonderful.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Naka Shihan for his exceptional guidance. I also would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the staff and volunteers at the JKA Los Angeles Dojo, as well as to all the people who participated in the practice.

 

JKA武道空手セミナー（カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス）

2023年3月1～5日、カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルスにて JKA Los Angeles 主催の武道空手セミナーが中達也師範のご指導により開催されました。
今回のセミナーはJKAロサンゼルス開校5周年記念行事の一つとして開催されました。
アメリカの各道場より、合計4日間で250名以上が参加し、各日程における様々なご指導をいただくことができました。
初日は、JKAロサンゼルス生徒特に小・中高生をメインとした平安型も交えた基本のご指導いただき、終始笑顔の絶えない大変楽しいご指導でした。
また、同日審判資格のためのクリニックも練習試合を交えて開催し、審判における細かな注意点などのご指導をいただきました。

一般参加者向けセミナーの第一日目は、身体の使い方特に重心移動•呼吸•身体を回さず２枚のプレートをズラすようになど、基本から型へそして組み手へと繋がる練習方法等のご指導を頂きました。

一般セミナー2日目は、ロサンゼルス中心地部の武道館にて開催し、型を中心としたご指導を頂きました。型は、慈恩を行い、その後は明鏡・珍手の型を時間をかけてじっくりと事細かくご指導頂き、これら型の未習得の参加者も、皆が覚えて帰られたこと思います。

一般セミナー3日目は組み手を中心としたご指導にて、基本の重心移動や呼吸法を元に、どのように組み手の動きにスピードをつけるか等の練習方法のご指導を受け、4名1組のグループになっての様々練習を行いました。また、最終日に練習試合も行い、資格試験も開催することができました。

今回の武道セミナーでは、中先生に様々な指導を受けることができ、終始笑顔や笑いの絶えない大変和やかでアットホームな雰囲気でセミナーを開催することができました。
セミナーには、全米各地より様々なJKAの指導者や生徒また今年から新たにJKAに加わった道場の生徒や指導者も多く参加いただき、大盛況にて開催することができました。
今回のセミナーの参加者の多くが、JKAの空手は素晴らしいと再度実感いただけたことと思います。
