The report of the 2017 JKA Autumn Joint Training Camp

2017 JKA Autumn Joint Training Camp was held for four days from Thu. 12th Oct to Sun. 15th Oct, 2017 at HQ and Bunkyo Sogo Gymnasium with total 336 participants. More than 150 players were from abroad, even though it was the event just after Ireland camp which had been highly successful with 300 players in August.

In this year, at both Spring and Autumn camp, the seminars were focused on chosen Kata and Kihon Kumite. At the judge seminar held at Bunkyo Sogo Gymnasium, the movies of matches of Kumite and Kata were shown on the screen for the lecture for better understanding. The judge section is to utilize the movie material more for the judge seminars.

After the judge seminar, Ueki Shuseki-Shihan gave the lecture on Keri focused on how to form weapon or how to use knee snap.

Public Interest Incorporated Association Japan Karate Association will continuously hold Joint Camp twice a year to expand ” Karatedo” as a martial art of Japanese culture by international interaction with members from various countries, race, language, and culture at our HQ locates in Bunkyo-ku where modern Karate was born.
