Last weekend, from March 13th to 15th, 2026, the pure essence of Karatedo found its home in Algorta, Bizkaia, where tradition, discipline, and martial spirit came together in an unforgettable event. JKASKTESPAÑA, in close collaboration with JKA Norte, organized the International Karatedo Seminar at the Basque Team – Los Chopos facilities, bringing together more than 150 karate practitioners from across Spain and abroad.

Under the masterful guidance of Sensei Kobayashi Kunio, 7th Dan and esteemed JKA HQ Instructor, participants had the privilege of immersing themselves, over three intense days, in the technical and philosophical depth of authentic Shotokan Karatedo. Each training session became a lesson in rigor and precision, where kihon was refined to its finest detail, kata rose as a living expression of the art, and kumite became a dialogue of respect, strategy, and determination.

Beyond the physical and technical demands, the seminar unfolded within an atmosphere filled with camaraderie, mutual respect, and genuine friendship. The JKASKTESPAÑA family once again demonstrated that Karatedo is not only a path of individual refinement, but also a bond that unites all those who walk it with humility and commitment.

This marks the second occasion in which Master Kobayashi has shared his teachings in the Basque Country, strengthening a connection that already looks toward the future, with another seminar confirmed for next year. This reflects not only the success of this gathering, but also the growing presence and development of JKA Shotokan Karatedo in our country.

El pasado fin de semana, del 13 al 15 de marzo de 2026, laesencia más pura del Karatedo encontró su hogar en Algorta, Bizkaia, donde la tradición, la disciplina y el espíritu marcial se dieron cita en un acontecimiento inolvidable. JKASKTESPAÑA, en estrecha colaboración con JKA Norte, organizó el Seminario Internacional de Karatedo en las instalaciones de Basque Team – Los Chopos, reuniendo a más de 150 karatekas llegados de distintos puntos de España y del extranjero.

Bajo la dirección magistral del Sensei Kobayashi Kunio, 7º Dan y prestigioso instructor de JKA HQ, los participantes tuvieron el privilegio de sumergirse durante tres intensas jornadas en la profundidad técnica y filosófica del auténtico Karatedo Shotokan. Cada entrenamiento fue una lección de rigor y precisión, donde el kihon se pulió hasta el detalle más sutil, el kata se elevó como expresión viva del arte, y el kumite se convirtió en un diálogo de respeto, estrategia y determinación.

Pero más allá de la exigencia física y técnica, el seminario se desarrolló en un ambiente impregnado de camaradería, respeto y sincera amistad. La gran familia de JKASKTESPAÑA volvió a demostrar que el Karatedo no es solo un camino de perfeccionamiento individual, sino también un lazo que une a quienes lo recorren con humildad y compromiso.

Esta ha sido la segunda ocasión en la que el Maestro Kobayashi imparte su enseñanza en el País Vasco, consolidando un vínculo que ya mira hacia el futuro, con un nuevo encuentro comprometido para el próximo año.

Un hecho que refleja no solo el éxito de esta convocatoria, sino también la creciente proyección del Karatedo Shotokan JKA en nuestro país.
