【SLOVENIA】 JKA Slovenia Gasshuku report

JKA Slovenia, in collaboration with Shotokan Karate Club Celje, organized its now traditional 19th international karate seminar, held in Celje from May 16 to 18. The event attracted over 200 participants from England, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Japan, and of course Slovenia.

The opening ceremony was honored by speeches from:

  • Matjaž Han, Minister of Economy, Tourism and Sport of Slovenia
  • Matija Kovač, Mayor of Celje Municipality

Following last year’s format, training sessions were led by JKA HQ instructors:

  • Nemoto Keisuke
  • Hakizume Kaishi
  • Hirose Hikaru

The seminar featured:
✓ Training sessions for all ages and skill levels
✓ DAN grade examinations (25 successful candidates)
✓ Qualification examination (7 successful candidates)

JKA Slovenia extends its gratitude to all local and international supporters who contributed to making this annual event possible.

The Japan Karate Association is a Public Interest Incorporated Association certified by the Cabinet Office and is committed to cultivate youth with quality.
The Prime Minister Cup and the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports Cup are awarded to the national convention hosted by the Society.
