【Romania】Romania JKA Gasshuku in Timisoara&Sannicolau Mare 6-9 June 2019 With Kunio Kobayashi Sensei

For the second time in Romania, Kunio Kobayashi Sensei in Timisoara & Sannicolau Mare was our guest, and he managed a very good quality Gasshuku. I had a few days to get together and I visited with Kobayashi Sensei, some interesting places in Romania.

The seminar began on June 6 at Sannicolau Mare with beginners athletes (8-4 kyu), about 100 in number. It was a kihon-based training, with emphasis on the continuity of movements and the correct positioning of the legs. I also practiced the gohon kumite , also following the correct positioning of the arms and legs. Very good explanation about ki-ai, and the breath, I received from Kobayashi Sensei.

The seminar continued on Friday morning with the instructors of our association JKA WF Romania. Kihon techniques with a great focus on energy concentration in tanden, focusing on the correct use of body strength, strong legs and hips, and shoulder relaxation. Training for timing and weight shift in jiyu ippon kumite, and the importance of kamae.

Friday afternoon was a training for all grades, from the white belt to the black belt. A very good training, execution by Heian Sandan, the use of the kiba dachi position, the kata rhythm, detailed explanations given by Kobayashi Sensei.

Saturday morning, brown and black belt training, jiyu ippon kumite, timing, leg strength, hip strength, changing zenkutsu dachi with kiba dachi. At the end of the kata Bassai sho. Saturday afternoon, brown and black belts, training with leg techniques, mae geri, yoko geri, mawashi geri, dynamics, timing, correct positioning at the foot reinforcement, and finally kata Kanku Sho.

Sunday morning, the last training, also with brown and black belts, I practiced very much Bassai Dai. Extensive explanations given by Kobayashi Sensei, positions, technique, rhythm, strength.

This Gasshuku ended with the dan grade exams, supported by our members, all participants succeeding in passing the test. There were 4 days of training for all grades, a total of 150 participants, of our association. We thank you Kobayashi Sensei for all the information we received. Oss!
