JKA Spring Camp Romania 2023,

Ogura Yasunori Shihan 8 dan

Last week, I had the honor and joy of having as a guest, for the first time in Romania, Ogura Yasunori Shihan, Vice Chief Instructor JKA World Federation.
It was a week full of events. We had the opportunity to present Romanian hospitality to Ogura Shihan.
After a long journey by plane, a few days to return and rest, they prepared the technical training program for the weekend of May 26-28.

Friday morning we started training with the black belts. Ogura Shihan entered kihon, with the details of hip movements, the position and strength of the legs on zenkutsu and kokutsu dachi, and the connection between them. Then we started kihon ippon kumite, with excellent explanations by Ogura Shihan, regarding body transition, distance and timing. The training took place by rotation with several partners.
On Friday afternoon, the same black belts received valuable information from Ogura Shihan, regarding the Bassai Sho and Chinte kata, with many technical details, and bunkai applications.

On Saturday morning, the training program started with the group of intermediate children juniors (5-1 kyu), and Ogura Shihan emphasized throughout the training period the correctness of the kihon positions,
the standard for Heian Nidan kata and gohon kumite. The second training was again for the black belts, and Ogura Shihan taught in an excellent manner Gojushiho Dai along with bunkai applications.
Saturday afternoon was the program for dan degree examinations and qualifications for instructor, referee, examiner. The results were commensurate with the effort made by each participant.
Ogura Shihan made valuable clarifications regarding the training of the referees, and their responsibility towards the athletes in the competition.
Saturday ended with the Sayonara Party, where we enjoyed together the presence of Ogura Yasunori Shihan, very good food and drink, and gifts were distributed to our guests.

Sunday morning we had the last day of training, which started with the intermediate children juniores (5-1 kyu). Kihon ippon kumite with several partners, specified by Ogura Shihan, again, for maximum attention to attack and defense, and mental involvement. And finally Heian Godan, JKA standard, with the presentation of technical details.
The next training was for the black belts, in which Ogura Shihan emphasized the dynamics of the gohon and sanbon kumite steps. I worked in rotation with several partners. And finally, Ogura Shihan taught Tekki Nidan, JKA standard and with bunkai applications.

This whole week was a fantastic experience together with Ogura Yasunori Shihan, whom we thank you, once again for the effort, professionalism and the quality of the knowledge shared with us. It was an event full of energy, and an opportunity for all present to improve and learn new things.
Thank you and congratulations to all those present at this seminar, over 130 participants, juniors and seniors, from Romania, Hungary, Moldova, Serbia, Bulgaria, Switzerland, England.
This is the big JKA family! Oss!
