【ROMANIA】JKA SPRING CAMP 2022, TIMISOARA & SANNICOLAU MARE, MAY 26-29 With Kazuaki Kurihara Sensei

This event was a success!

For the first time in Timisoara and Sannicolau Mare, Kazuaki Kurihara Sensei was impressed by the large number of children present at the trainings. The first day, May 26, was only for beginners (9-7 kyu) and intermediaries children (6-1 kyu). 150 children were present, divided into 2 groups. There were intense training, with an emphasis on kihon, kata Heian Shodan, Nidan, Sandan and kihon ippon kumite. Friday, May 27, started with the black belt training,  in which Kurihara Sensei, taught Kata Kanku Dai , Kanku Sho, kihon ippon kumite and jiyu ippon kumite. Many important clarifications were made in the key points, and the movement of the balance, on distance and timing, with various helping exercises.

The training on Saturday, May 28, morning started in the same energy note. Training with the intermediaries (5-1 kyu) was again very intense, kata Heian 1-5 and  jiyu ippon kumite in several rounds, with the change of partners. I continued the training of the black belts as intensely, in jiyu ippon kumite and kata Gankaku. After the morning training, Saturday followed was the program for dan examinations. Dimitar Angelov Dimitrov from JKA Bulgaria, who passed the 4 dan test, was examined. Congratulations!

On Saturday night we met at Sayonara Party, where we enjoyed a very good meal and a beer together. We also distributed small gifts to our guests. It was a successful evening!

Sunday morning, May 29, the last training for the black belts was equally intense, with some important technical details, regarding the differences from other kata, Bassai Dai, Empi and Jion. An excellent explanation given by the Kazuaki Kurihara Sensei, for the kata executions, was that when performing a kata you must express so much energy and strength that those who watch, stop from any movement, and get their attention 100 %.

More than 200 practitioners (150 childrens athletes with 9-1 kyu degree, and over 60 black belts) participated in this event.

Our guests were Janos Krepsz Sensei with the Hungarian team, Giorgi Yosifov Sensei with the Bulgarian team, Serbia team, and the representative of Moldova Valeriu Grau. Thank you very much for your effort in participating in our event.

All participants from the large JKA family express their thank you, for this excellent Gasshuku, taught by Kazuaki Kurihara Sensei. Oss!
