The 16th Gasshuku organized by our association, JKA WF Romania, took place from September 25 to 27, 2026, in the university city of Iași. Our guest was Master Kunio Kobayashi, who conducted three days of exceptional training. Members from the cities of Timișoara, Brașov, Oradea, Constanța, and Ploiești attended, alongside colleagues from the Republic of Moldova and JKA Barcelona. Over 120 participants sought to improve their skills under the guidance of Shihan Kunio Kobayashi. Our event was heavily promoted across online media and television to provide the public with the latest information about the JKA. Training sessions were divided into two groups: one for colored belts and another for black belts. Colored belts had the opportunity to study in depth the fundamental technical details presented by Shihan Kobayashi regarding the Heian katas and elements of *gohon kumite*. The black belt program focused on key details concerning the *Kanku Dai*, *Jion*, and *Sochin* katas, featuring clear explanations on rhythm, power (0–100 scale), the alternation of power elements, contraction and expansion, and, of course, fighting spirit. The *jiyu ippon kumite* training was—as always—explained in great detail, covering distance, dynamics, power, and technical control. Shihan Kobayashi once again demonstrated tremendous energy, sharing it with all the participants. Many thanks! At the end of the seminar, our instructor Gheorghe Mateaș was promoted to the rank of *yondan*, and Marius Creța to *sandan*. Additionally, Dragoș Dancescu received qualifications *D* as an instructor, referee, and examiner. Thanks and congratulations to all participants for their effort and dedication. Thanks to our translator Cezar Grinea. And last but not least, thanks to Dan Stoian for his support in organizing this event. Oss!
