【NEW ZEALAND】JKA NEW ZEALAND / AUSTRALIA GASSHUKU AND INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP – SEP 2024

JKA New Zealand had the privilege of hosting the JKA Australia Team for an incredible Seminar and International Championship event. It was an inspiring experience all in preparation for the JKA World Cup in Japan this October.  Both nations came together, sharing knowledge and sharpening their skills under the tutelage of guest Instructor Sensei Lutie Van Den Bergh – JKA Australia & host instructor Sensei Karl Naoroji – JKA New Zealand. The energy, discipline, and mutual respect on display were truly remarkable.

We’re incredibly proud of how much JKA New Zealand has grown, with dojos and passionate karatekas training all over the country. As an Association, we’ve built a strong, united community of karateka, all dedicated to mastering the art of traditional JKA Karate.

Our dedicated Karatekas are working hard, with their sights firmly set on representing New Zealand at the upcoming JKA Gichin Funakoshi World Cup in Gunma, Japan.

This prestigious event is the ultimate goal for many of our members, and we are laser-focused on preparation as we have completed World Cup Squad Trainings in  Auckland, Timaru, Kapiti Coast and a final Team preparation in a couple of weeks time once again in Auckland just before we head off to Japan.

We couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead.

Together, we are building a strong and united JKA community that’s ready to show the world what New Zealand is made of.

Our motto remains “Only one way…..JKA way” !
