【NEW ZEALAND】End of the year Seminar, Dan and License testing – Dec 2020

New Zealand went into Covid-19 lockdown early March 2020.  JKA New Zealand management took a collective decision to keep our members motivated and active during this Corona period by practicing Karate training via Skype platform.  Training was conducted by Sensei Karl Naoroji and Sensei Lizelle Pelser all across New Zealand, from Whangarei & Auckland in the North to Wellington, Christchurch, Timaru and Dunedin in the south.    This initiative worked exceptionally well for all our members giving them a chance to keep in touch with karate training at all times.

New Zealand came  out of lockdown in the month of May 2020 and ever since life has been back to normal.  Dojo training resumed with full gusto in all the regions once again which allowed our members to appear for Dan and License testing in July 2020 and Dec 2020.

Prior to Dan examination in Dec,  JKA New Zealand members congregated in Auckland for a National “Kumite Seminar” & “Referee’s Clinic” which was very well represented by JKA New Zealand members from across the country.   Dan examination (up to San Dan)  and License Testing (D D D level) was conducted locally in New Zealand by Sensei Karl Naoroji, Chief Instructor JKA New Zealand Ltd.

Under the current volatile and highly contagious worldwide Covid environment, we in New Zealand find ourselves highly privileged to continue JKA training and holding JKA events normally.

We trust and sincerely hope that 2021 brings more calm and stability in our world and may we all be safe and come out of the very trying environment.

Good luck to all JKA members across our globe.

Thanks & Regards

JKA New Zealand Ltd.
