The chairman of the Japan Karate Association, Mr. Nobuyuki Nakahara, has presented his notice of resignation at an extraordinary board meeting held yesterday, on October 21st, 2015. The Board has accepted his resignation.

Although Mr. Nobuyuki Nakahara had shown his intention to step down as chairman at the end of October 2015, his official resignation from the Board of Directors and as chairman has come into effect with this announcement.

The selection board has recommended the director, Mr. Katsuhide Kusahara as the successor, which has been approved by the Board with a unanimous decision.
