The event welcomed special guest instructor Igarashi Tatsuro Sensei from Japan, together with participants and athletes from Japan, Russia, and across Mongolia.
The three-day gasshuku focused on the importance of correct lower body usage in JKA Karate. Participants trained through all Shitei and Sentei kata while receiving detailed technical corrections and explanations from Igarashi Sensei.
A major focus of the seminar was improving stance stability, proper use of the back leg, and creating stronger connection with the floor through correct foot usage, balance, hip connection, and movement efficiency. Participants practiced various exercises designed to improve body connection, power generation, technical precision, and overall karate performance.
Special attention was also given to kumite development, including timing, distance control, explosiveness, efficient movement, and proper body connection during attacks and counterattacks. The seminar provided many valuable technical insights and methods to improve kihon, kata, and kumite.
The event concluded with the 2nd JKA Mongolia International Karate Cup, which gathered a record number of more than 220 athletes from Mongolia, Japan, and Russia. The tournament featured kata and kumite divisions conducted under JKA competition rules and conditions.
