【CANADA】Annual Spring Camp

It has been two years since we had held our in person “Annual Spring Camp”. Last year we held our camp via zoom platform which created a great bridge to keep our members active and motivated.
This year’s camp was held on May 21st & 22nd at the Nuns’ island-JKA dojo, Montreal, Canada.
The camp was performed by Shahrokh Hoghooghi-7th dan chief instructor of Nuns’ island-JKA, as well as guest instructor Mark Deschatelets-6th dan chief instructor of Notre-Dam-du-Laus-JKA
The emphasised was on proper warmup, Kihon, proper target training, Tekki Shodan, Tekki Nidan and Tekki Sandan.
Sensei Mark Deschatelets covered a special warmup in every class to systematically tune up the muscles, as well as covering; Taikyoku shodan, five Heian kata and Tekki shodan in details, while sensei Shahrokh Hoghooghi covered Bassai Dai, Kanku Dai, Jion, Tekki Nidan, Tekki Sandan as well as jyu Ippon and jyu kumite.
At the end of the camp Dan grading and qualification exams were performed.
We would like to thank the JKA-HQ for teaching us and giving us the knowledge and ability to perform these seminars with up-to date JKA standards.
Thank you very much
