It is with great pleasure to announce the successful completion of our annual Montreal-Jka spring seminar that took place on May 13 & 14 at the Nuns’ island-Dojo with sensei Mark Deschatelets 6th Dan and sensei Shahrokh Hoghooghi 7th Dan.
Sensei Mark concentrated on the fundamentals of basics extending it to the Heian katas as well as kihon gohon and kihon ippon kumite, while sensei Shahrokh emphasized in Jyu Ippon, jyu kumite techniques as well as Tekki Shodan, Tekki Nidan and Tekki Sandan.
Advanced katas; Sochin, Gojushihosho, Nijushiho, Unsu and Sentei katas were also demonstrated with their important points during the seminar.
Sensei Mark also gave a comprehensive instructions for proper warmup before training. The seminar was open to all JKA Dojos cross canada.
On Saturday afternoon we performed up to Nidan exams as well as D-level qualifications for Instructor/Judge and Examiner.
