This exciting seminar featured JKA HQ Instructor Shiina Katsutoshi Shihan, now 8th Dan. Shiina Katsutoshi Shihan, as always, delivered an intense week of training kumite, kata and kihon. Participants were pushed to their limits developing their skills and character. Ages ranging from 4 years old to +85 from many dojos were present.

Our participants were from past, present and future generations. A special tribute made to the previous JKA Kirkland instructor – Sensei Francois Gelinas and Sensei Mark Deschatelets. An important addition to this session was the introduction of our children to Shiina Katsutoshi. Our next generation of karate-kas. On and off the dojo participants harbored relations with each
other.

A very special thank you to the Consulate General of Japan in Montreal Akihiko Uchikawa for allowing us to share, exchange and prosper Japanese culture.

The week was an extraordinary compilation of JKA Kirkland members, collaborating dojos, special guests and Shiina Katsutoshi Shihan in what was a tremendously successful week. It continues to deliver a pathway to the future growing generations of JKA karate.
