Autumn JKA Gasshuku Bulgaria with Kurihara Sensei and Igarashi Sensei. Another fantastic seminar took place from September 11-th to 13-th in Kazanlak. This marked the second time a JKA seminar, organized by JKA Shotokan Karate Bulgaria, was held in the Valley of Roses. Over 100 participants—ranging in age from 6 to over 60 and in rank from white to black belt—enjoyed the event. The principles of kihon, kata, and kumite were studied in detail. Examinations were also held for dan ranks, as well as for examiner and instructor qualifications. All participants were delighted and energized, eager to continue training until the next dose of inspiration, which we impatiently await next September in Varna.
