【BELARUS】Junior Charity Cup on May 22nd in Minsk

JKA/WF Belarus held a Junior Charity Cup on May 22nd in Minsk aiming to commemorate Lisa from Mariupol and support another family from that destroyed city.

More than 130 athletes aged 9 to 17 competed in JKA kata and kumite. During the tournament many donations were made and the sum enough to cover a three months apartment rent for a family from Mariupol was collected.

We remember that “The ultimate aim of Karate lies not in victory or defeat, but in the perfection of the character of its participants” and we believe that our tournament helped to educate our junior members in the spirit of humanism and compassion.

Members of JKA/WF Belarus are wishing soon peace for our Ukrainian fellows.

Sincerely,

Dmitry Osika
JKA/WF Belarus
