* Zenpo Shimabukuro

  1. Shorin-ryu: 10th dan
  2. Position: President of Seibukan / Former Vice President of Okinawa Dento Karatedo Shinkokai / Special advisor of All Okinawa Karate federation
  3. Introduction: He was born on October 11, 1943, in Chatan, Nakagami District, Okinawa. In 1952, he began studying karate under his father, Zenryo Shimabukuro Hanshi. Later, in 1958, he also studied Kobayashi-ryu karate under Chozo Nakama. In 1962, Zenryo Shimabukuro Hanshi established the Seibukan. In 1963, Zenpo Shimabukuro Sensei went to the United States at the invitation of his students and conducted karate promotion activities for three years. Upon his return in 1966, he was appointed as the Shihan-dai of Seibukan by Zenryo Shimabukuro Hanshi. Currently, Zenpo Shimabukuro Sensei serves as the chairman of the International Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Seibukan, which has three dojos in Okinawa, five branches on the mainland Japan, and 200 branches in 14 countries overseas.
