For its 36^th Summer Camp that was held at ÉTS in Montreal, the AKJKAQ was very proud to welcome Sensei Koji Chubachi as their guest Instructor from the JKA Headquarter.

Everyone was impressed by the excellence off of his teachings and the progression observed in the concepts and principle put forward during the Camp. The attentive observation and corrections proposed, the emphasis on speed and the perfect execution was very challenging and stimulating for everyone during those 9 training sessions. The search for the ultimate technique is a characteristic of the JKA karate and the JKA has a very glorious history and tradition represented by many great Instructors of the highest level. Sensei Chubachi is definitely one of them. Although he is well known for his excellence and achievements in kumite, his keen observations and advices in kihon, kata and kumite were of great value and a source of inspiration as well as a path for long term development. The last part of the morning trainings were reserved for black belts kata with a different kata every morning. Sochin, Nijushio, Kanku Sho, Unsu and Gojushio Dai were on the program of this 2026 Summer Camp.

The last day of the Camp had only a morning training followed by the Qualification Exams followed by the Dan exams. Eleven candidates succeeded in their Shodan exam, 10 in their Nidan exam and 2 succeeded in their Godan exam. Seven new Qualifications were also awarded.
