【CANADA】OJKA Canada Report

The very much anticipated 2025 OJKA Canada Koyo Camp (Nov 20-23) with Shiina Sensei from JKA Headquarters in Japan has come to a close and we would like to express our most heartfelt gratitude to everyone who was a part of our event that took place at Saeki Dojo in Ottawa.

Shiina Sensei has delivered an intense course of trainings for the Instructors, Youth and Adult Programs. The Instructors course was an invaluable opportunity to delve into the teaching methodology and exchange knowledge between instructors. From basics to advanced kata applications, the course was structured to raise the level of instructors in Canada. The Youth program showcased the intensity and spirit of the young karatekas, and demonstrated the emergence of a strong future karate generation. The Adult class was a great opportunity to train among fellow karate practitioners from the dojos all across North America and was tailored to raise the level of karate in the country.
Shiina Sensei’s expertise and undeniable passion for teaching has made this encounter the most memorable and we would like to express our deepest appreciation for his support of OJKA Canada as a national organization.
