Gichin Festival: Announcement of Schedule and Notificaton

We announce here the schedule for the Funakoshi Gichin Karate 100th Anniversary Commemoration Festival (Gichin Festival), scheduled to be held on November 2nd and 3rd.

*The event on the November 4th is not sponsored by the JKA, but anyone interested is welcome to participate.

NOTIFICATION

A large and very strong Typhoon is expected to approach Okinawa and the Sakishima Islands with tremendous force on Thursday, October 31st.
Okinawa will experience severe weather, which may affect the holding of the Gichin Festival.
Please note that the Gichin Festival can be canceled if any local public transportation is not operational on the day.
