REPORT: JKA Slovenia instructor training & Gasshuku

From 28th – 31st May 2009 JKA Slovenia organised the 5th JKA instructor training and Gasshuku. The event was well attended with 255 karateka and guests from the following countries: Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Germany. Participating Sensei:

The event was divided into 4 days of training: on the 28th and 29th May the brown and black belts enjoyed the instructors training and on the 30th and 31st the Gasshuku was open to all karateka.

Tanaka Shihan taught kihon and kumite assisted by Takahashi Sensei. Kata training was divided into 4 groups with sensei teaching hean 1 – 5, Tekki shodan, Bassai Dai, Jion, Enpi and Kanku dai.

The event was opened by Branko Gabrovec - chairman of JKA Slovenia, Maruyama Shigeharu – the Japanese ambassador to Slovenia and Branko Lobnikar, Ph.D. as the representative of the Slovenian government.
