Announcements Related to: ISKF Resignation from JKA/WF; JKA HQ Gasshuku; Special Dan Examination Rights; and Dan Registration Fees

1.National License Given to Former Venezuelan ISKF Organization

The Venezuelan organization, which is led by Mr. Roberto Martinez and once belonged to ISKF, strongly desired to have a direct connection with JKA HQ and to become a part of JKA. So Mr.Martinez came to JKA HQ to petition for a national license from JKA for his organization. On July 11, 2007 the license was granted.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Any organizations or groups of individuals in ISKF or other associations unapproved by JKA are welcome to make the same kind of petition as Venezuela did. If you would like to form a new JKA-sanctioned organization, please contact JKA HQ or JKA/WF-America.

2.Regarding Dan Exam

  1. Any ISKF students who registered with/paid ISKF for Dan exam, and have passed but have not received their diploma from JKA HQ, please be advised that this is not the fault of JKA HQ. Your records may not have reached us. To clarify your situation, contact JKA HQ (see contact info below), and give us the date of your exam and the Dan grade you passed. The date must be before ISKF resigned from JKA/WF-unless you have decided to leave ISKF and return to JKA.
  2. Item-b is not necessary here, so be deleted.
  3. Any students who have partially completed their requirements, and wish to keep on training with JKA, please contact JKA/WF-America or JKA HQ to find the most suitable JKA organization near you.
  4. High ranking ISKF students/instructors who have not been tested for a long period of time (10-20 years) are welcome to take the exam for a higher rank, provided they belong to a properly sanctioned JKA organization and have met the time interval requirements prescribed by JKA rules.

3.Regarding Special Dan Right System

In order for member countries to be able to hold Dan examinations (1st, 2nd, 3rd), JKA HQ conducts various examinations and confers licenses. At the same time, for the countries that cannot satisfy the required numbers of examiners, JKA HQ has been providing the Special Dan Examination Right to the eligible instructors in those countries as the tentative measure since 2001. JKA HQ encourages all eligible JKA-approved instructors to take this exam and gain the privilege. For more information, please contact JKA HQ.
